    On behalf of the RAMA President:

    March 4, 2007

    Dear Colleague,

    I am contacting you because our Fifth Joint National Meeting will take place on October 5-7, 2007 in Chicago, IL and I would like you to consider participating and presenting at this meeting.

    Founded in 2000, RAMA is a non-profit professional organization of Russian
    physicians, biomedical researchers and allied health professionals that has
    grown extraordinarily rapidly and now has a membership of over 400
    professionals representing 40 US states and Canada. In 2004, we entered
    into an alliance with the RADA.

    Since its conception, RAMA has established partnerships with over 50 private and government organizations. Working with these and other collaborators, RAMA provides medical and humanitarian aid on the local level, supports medical education, and provides input to government agencies in formulating economic policies relating to health care. RAMA also began publishing a medical journal in 2004 and offers a wide range of services and resources for physicians, other health-care professionals, and biomedical scientists. These include:
    . a nationwide physician referral service;
    . special initiative for scientific collaborations with FSU;
    . scholarships for Russian medical students, physicians, and scientists the opportunity to study in the United States;
    . job placement and staff recruitment;
    . funding to support educational and clinical missions to Russia;
    . funding to provide care for patients with difficult medical conditions who cannot obtain effective treatment in Russia.

    We are in the process of planning the 5th Joint National RAMA/RADA conference in Chicago, IL at the Chicago Marriott Hotel on October
    5-7, 2007. We expect over 200 participants representing many US states. This one-and-a-half day conference will be the largest, most representative meeting of Russian doctors ever held in North America and will include presentations by a renowned biomedical and clinical researchers.

    We are looking forward to working with you and would like to thank you and your staff in advance for making this a mutually successful event. Please, do not hesitate in contacting me personally. For more information about the conference, please consult our website at www.russiandoctors.org

    At this point, I am trying to estimate the number and names of participants - please respond with your intention to participate and/or present at Chicago meeting!

    Sincerely,
