We now registered as a non-profit with the State of Ohio, opened a bank account and most importantly - chose a area where the Garden will be built. It is really nice and will look great after a good landscape architect works on it. The web site is being built too. Check for our progress on the links provided above.

      RUSSIAN CULTURAL GARDEN DESIGN COMPETITION

      RUSSIAN CULTURAL GARDEN DESIGN COMPETITION

Talented and creative persons are invited to submit ideas of the design of the future Russian Cultural Garden of Cleveland.

CLEVELAND, OH - October 19, 2011 - The newest jewel will soon be added to the crown known as the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. The Russian Cultural Gardens Committee invites artists, sculptors, designers, and all other creative persons to submit their design for the Russian Cultural Garden that is to be established in Clevelandís Rockefeller Park.

The Cleveland Cultural Gardens are the only gardens of their type in America. Individual gardens, stretching along both sides of Doan Brook, from the shores of Lake Erie to University Circle, were established on the land donated to Cleveland by John D. Rockefeller in 1897 to celebrate the many nationalities that have made Cleveland, Ohio their American home. Soon the Russian Cultural Garden will be added as a symbol of the contributions that Russia has made to Music, Literature, Science, Education, Industry, and the Fine Arts.
The winner shall be announced in February, 2012 at the Russian Cultural Gardenís Charity Event. The winning entry shall receive a Special award, as well as recognition in publications regarding the Russian Cultural Garden.

Please contact Svetlana Stolyarova at russiangarden@cleveland-global.com to receive complete information, including Design Competition rules, a topographical site map, and other details. Please note that all entries and ideas submitted will become the exclusive property of Russian Cultural Gardens, Inc., an Ohio non-profit corporation.
      Respectfully,
      Boris
